SFTP Data Process

      SFTP Data Process

      • ETL process

The best way to connect with your parents and students is to provide them with the personalized information they care about most. In order to do so, we will need specific files from your systems, such as SIS, Lunch, Bus, Library, and HR to allow your district to send customized and automated messages to your stakeholders.

        • Blackboard products import data from flat files. These files are usually formatted as .csv files or tab-delimited .txt files.
        • Each file represents a specific data set. For example: There will be a Student file containing all the customer’s students, a Parent file containing all the customer’s parents, etc.
        • These files must meet Blackboard’s file specifications (see tab 2)
        • These files must be provided to Blackboard via SFTP (ideally in an automated way).
