Adaptive Content

  • You may have heard a lot of discussions around adaptive and responsive design to allow your site to be viewed nicely from a mobile device.  Now let's go a step further and talk about adaptive content.  If you are using a responsive design, your template will be responsive, but if your content contains several tags and characters that are not responsive your content may not be as easily viewed from a mobile device.  Since we are migrating your content for you, we are able to move your content into Content Apps which will help to strip away some unneeded tags that may cause your content to be unresponsive. However, there are areas that we may identify where removing these tags will break the function or display of your content. For this type of content, we will move them into a new app called an "Onboarding App". The Onboarding App allows more flexibility for your content to display how you want from a computer screen. You may keep your content within the Onboarding App, if you wish. However, if you want to ensure your content is responsivie, you may decide to move the content into another app that is designed specifically for the content.  Using the right apps for the right content is an important step to making your content responsive to the device on which it is viewed.

Apps are your content building blocks. Each app is designed specifically to display specific content.
