Objective: Meet your Project Manager and Consultant to review the implementation process and prepare for next steps.
- Introductions and Project roles:
- Client Project Team
- Blackboard Project Team
- Project Manager: Primary contact who will coordinate, scope, and track the project
- Educational Consultant: Product expert to guide you through best practices and tips in setting up your Mass Notification product
- Data Integration Specialist: Data expert to map, import, and integrate data
- Trainer(s): Conduct the purchased training session(s) as scheduled throughout the project
- Initial Consultation

- Review Blackboard Implementation timeline, goals, and objectives
- Next steps: Prepare for the Initial Consultation and Data Kick Off Meeting
- Schedule the Initial Consultation with your Consultant
- Invite your Data/IT Team and be prepared to discuss your data options and systems

- Student Information System, Hosted or Onsite
- HR Software (if independent of your SIS), Hosted or Onsite
- Cafeteria Point-of-Sale Software, Hosted or Onsite
- Transportation Software, Hosted or Onsite
- If you would like to send automated attendance notifications,
- What time of day would you like them sent?
- What attendance codes will trigger these (ie. A or UX for Unexcused Absence, T for Unexcused Tardy)
- Daily-Based versus Period-Based attendance notifications
- How would you like them sent - SMS, Email, Calls or a combination?
- If you would like to send automated lunch balance notifications,
- What lunch code(s) (Meal Type) (Reduced or free may be excluded) do you want to send messages for?
- What day(s) and time(s) would you like them sent?
- What balance will trigger these messages? (ie. Under $2.00)
- How would you like them sent - SMS, Email, Calls or a combination?
